Pythia is a free, ad-free online version of the classic trick-taking card game for 3–6 friends. Everyone plays on their own phone, at the same table.

Getting started

  1. Open the game and tap Create a room.
  2. Share the room code with your friends so they can join.
  3. Seats left over? Add a practice bot. You need at least three players.
  4. Tap Start. Each round: predict how many tricks you'll win, then play to hit that number exactly.

How to play, in one breath

Each round you're dealt a hand and you bid the exact number of tricks you think you'll take. Hit your bid and you bank a bonus; miss it and you lose points for every trick you're off. A Magician always wins a trick, a Jester never does, and one colour is turned up as trump each round. Most points after the final round wins.

Troubleshooting

A friend can't join my room

Double-check the code — letters are case-insensitive, and the alphabet deliberately skips 0/O and 1/I so they can't be confused. Make sure everyone is on a working connection and on the current version.

Someone dropped mid-game

Pythia holds the seat open and reconnects them automatically when they come back. There is no need to restart the game.

The game looks cramped, or the text is tiny

Pythia has light and dark themes and runs in German and English — open the gear icon to switch. Every card also shows its number and its colour name, so colour-blind players never have to rely on hue.

I want my account and data gone

In the app: Profile → account actions → Delete account. It is immediate and permanent. See the privacy policy for exactly what that removes.
